Once known as The Sailors Return Inn, the first reference to any dwelling on this site dates to 1228. Then, passing sailors navigating a nearby creek would find themselves lodging in the pub’s many sea-view rooms.

With breath-taking views of the River Thames, The Wharf is the perfect location to relax, catch up with friends, and forget about the stresses of daily life.

The Wharf pub is open every day from 11am, and our relaxing forest themed restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy amazing meals prepared by our professional chef.

Situated in the western bar is our events space where we produce family friendly events during the day, and by night, the bar is transformed into a Cabaret Bar with a full calendar of live music, tribute acts, and incredible performances.

Behind the pub nestled under the trees, our beloved beer garden is the tranquil escape where you will find comfortable chairs and tables to relax on, alongside our captivating secret garden surrounded by original stone walls.
